I’ve Met a Couple of Cops Like This

A DEA officer stopped at a ranch in Texas , and talked with an old rancher.

He told the rancher, “I need to inspect your ranch for illegally grown drugs.”  The rancher said, “Okay , but don’t go in that field over there.”  As he pointed out the location.

The DEA officer verbally exploded saying, “Mister, I have the authority of the Federal Government with me!”

Reaching into his rear pants pocket, he removed his badge and proudly displayed it to the rancher.  “See this badge?!  This badge means I am allowed to go wherever I wish, on any land!!  No questions asked or answers given!! Have I made myself clear?   Do you understand?!!”

The rancher nodded politely, apologized, and went about his chores.

A short time later, the old rancher heard loud screams, looked up, and saw the DEA officer running for his life, being chased by the rancher’s big Santa Gertrudis bull.  With every step the bull was gaining ground on the officer, and it seemed likely that he’d sure enough get gored before he reached safety.   The officer was clearly terrified.

The rancher threw down his tools, ran to the fence and yelled at the top of his lungs:

“Your badge, show him your BADGE!”

Did the MyTouch 3G Out-cool the iPhone?

I don’t know if you can get much cooler than Clapton getting a call from Buddy Guy.

If you can get past the author’s disdain for capitalism and personally responsibility (he completely dismisses the idea that each person is responsible for their own weight — it’s societies fault people are obese, not the person who refuses to control their eating), this is a pretty good profile of Whole Foods founder John Mackey.

    Motorola Droid Review

The only publicly known user of the Motorola Droid, Boy Genius Report, has published the first review of the new Android based phone, and it’s glowing.

While he does give some of the credit for the experience to the new and improved Android 2.0, he does say this is by far the best Android phone to date.  The only most negative part of the review is regarding the physical keyboard, but as BGR points out, you can use the virtual keyboard in both portrait and landscape mode.  Read the full review and see all the pics at Boy Genius Report.
