Here are the first two TV Ads for Ron Paul in New Hampshire
That last one is a little hokie, but we have to get the message out somehow.
Bush quietly advising Hillary Clinton, top Democrats, says new book
This, once again, goes to prove that Ron Paul is the only candidate with sound economic and foreign policies.
As with many of the moves involving the war, most of the Republican candidates appear to be out of step with the military.
From the Houston Chronicle:
Paul, Obama draw support from military voters
Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul, the congressman from the Houston area who opposes the Iraq war, has gotten more contributions than any other White House contender from donors identified as affiliated with the military.
Earlier today representatives from Ron Paul’s campaign demonstrated that he is among the top when it comes to cash on had for the primaries. While Romney has raised a substantial amount of money, the vast majority of his cash influx has been personal loans from his own bank account! Which, presumably, he’ll never pay back. His campaign is already $17 million in debt! Something tells me that is foreshadowing of what a Romney presidency would look like.
Salon.com News | Strange Bedfellows v. Bush and Cheney
It should come as no surprise to those of us who’ve watched Bush and other Neo-Con Republicans of his ilk erode the freedoms that most Americans hold dear, but ‘W’ has put the cherry on top. The complete disregard of the constitution by our Commander in Chief in ordering wiretaps without court approval is unfathomable.
Our constitution provides for certain protections, and the idea that the very people who are supposed to uphold these protections would ignore them is beyond belief.
What has happened to the GOP?
This continuing shift away from Conservative principles is very troubling.
Remember, when you vote for the lesser of two evils you still get evil.
Sheldon Richmond posted this truly insightful article about the New Freedom Commission on Mental Health, and the departure of the Republican party from it’s commitment to smaller government. This is yet another reason why I have a hard time voting for a Republican. They seem to be more and more socialist everyday. At least the Democrats don’t hide the fact that they want to ‘governmentalize’ our lives. Unfortunately, the only thing that turns my stomach more than a neo-conservative Republican is a spineless Democrat. That’s why I vote Libertarian.
I found your blog because I clicked on “Saving Grace” in my own profile (which I didn’t know you could do) and lots of people in the UK came up but not many Americans. So I thought I’d check you out since I figure you must be at least slightly amusing to know and like that book. And now that I’ve found yor blog and find that I agree with 85% of what I read (well let’s be honest, skimmed, but that’s nothing personal) my interest has been peaked. Cheers!
Looks like a great site. I don’t like labels so I’m hesitant to call myself a libertarian. In fact I think the term libertarian party is somewhat of a contradiction, but I think we have a lot in common. For some interesting commentary on current events, feel free to visit my site and tell me what you think. foranewliberty.blogspot.com
cool blog man!
The President’s ‘New Freedom Commission on Mental Health,’ in its report, recommended that all persons be screened for mental illness.
Beyond being Orwellian (‘New Freedom’? I guess the “old freedom” guaranteed us by the Constitution isn’t good enough any more?), it’s Socialist, and it’s downright un-American.
In the Executive Summary Under Goal 4: “Both children and adults will be screened for mental illnesses during their routine physical exams.”
Do you want a government worker examining, prescribing medication, and (god forbid) counseling your child without your consent? If the White House gets it’s way that is exactly what will happen. From WorldNetDaily.com:
Bush to screen population for mental illness
Forced mental screening hits roadblock in House
Attempt to dump mental screening fails

Please, take the time to review the following link and see how your representative voted.
If they voted for the amendment, call them and thank them. If they voted against it, call them and ask if they are in favor of governmental mind control of future generations, or did they vote against it because of all the $$$ they are going to pull in from the pharmaceutical companies that are going to see a big spike in profits if this takes affect.

The only people more in favor of this than the Republicans is the Democrats, so why not Vote for Liberty!

I do understand your concern over the GOP, but under the current 2 party system you must vote for the lessor of two evils.
I am with you on Lib party but still had rather have Bush over Kerry. The Libertarian party was behind the Green party for the second election, thus moving it futher out of the minds of many of the people who vote.
I wish every person would have to write a check to the govt every three months like I do(because Im self employed), it makes you hold your elected officals much more accountable. I contact my state and fed officals often, because I feel the pain of writing the check. The govt has duped so many people, with our tax system, in that when people get a tax refund they think the govt paid them.
The avg US citizen works, goes home, drinks a beverage of choice and watches Am. Idol and only gets upset with the govt when their taxes go up or the price of gas is higher at the local Exxon. MANY politians care more about re-election than helping the people or make the govt work as it should.
BTW-PASS THE FAIR TAX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
